About

TwoFold Atelier is an independent art studio based in Amsterdam.

One of us works with colour, texture and movement to make expressive, one-of-a-kind paintings. The other works with wood, shaping and finishing each frame to suit the painting it holds.

Together, the two disciplines make pieces that feel considered as a whole.

We believe art should do more than fill a wall. It should bring character, set an atmosphere and become part of the spaces we live in.

Made slowly, made by hand.

Why Twofold

Two people, two crafts, two perspectives, two materials. Color and wood. Expression and structure.

Twofold is what happens when two separate practices become one.

Art, framed by intention.
